Jamie was born in Boston, Massasschusetts but raised in Maryland. She attended and graduated from MSSD as well as Gallaudet, and is the third generation of her family to attend Gallaudet University. After graduating from the Mental Health Counseling program at Gallaudet in 2001, she began her first full-time position in the Office of Admissions in January 2002. The experience was both rewarding and challenging. Following that, in January 2006, Jamie accepted a position as an academic/career advisor. She enjoys working with students on an individual basis, as well as group activities and advising work. Jamie also enjoys making a difference in the lives of Gallaudet students. She strongly believes in team work and is committed to utilizing her skills to empower students and guide them to success.

• Cooking Mexican dishes
• Plants and landscaping design
• Spending time with loved ones
